A western party theme for a cow-loving girl.
We all know that saying, โItโs not my first rodeo.”
Well if not the first, how about the second? After all, itโs only her second birthday.
This little girl loves her pig and cow stuffed animals. So we knew we had to have a party that would include them! Farm, rodeo and western party themes all fit the bill!
I found this perfect dress at a thrift store, as well as the frame of this sign (๐๐ผ Score!)
And so, the farm western party theme became the perfect fit ๐ค
A sign with her name was made out of poster board, and painted it to look like wood slats! I then glued jute rope in the shape of her name. This was a super easy DIY with a big impact!
The sunflowers were made with yellow tissue paper, then hung as a valance to tie in with the sunflower centerpieces! ๐ป
Next, I adorned the mantle with a banner of bandanas (so as to tie in the pattern), all of her small farm animals and a little galvanized barn to add some western charm!
For the tables, I used a navy and white checked table cloth. I found this one at Walmart and paired it with a red runner and napkins.
Next, I added tinfoil pie tins to the top as plates. The tin tied in perfectly with the galvanized pieces!
I added a coordinating red checker ribbon around the necks of these milk bottles to tie it all together!
Practical decor for a group of toddlers, without neglecting the aesthetic ๐๐ผ
I used Mason jars as vases, and added in these sunflowers to brighten up the colors and maintain a fun and western feel! After all, this was a party for a color-loving toddler ๐
I created the centerpieces with stacked hay bales!
Once glued together, I wrapped them in the same coordinating ribbon, stuck in some painted wooden farm animals, and added word bubbles to mimic the sounds of the farm!
Giveaway bags were made to look like cow faces, with a milk bottle-shaped ‘thank you’ tag! ๐ฎ๐ฅ They were the perfect favor bag for a farm or western party theme!
I love the contrast of the cow and checker print, so I incorporated it where possible. It came out udder-ly adorable, if I do say so myself! ๐คช
You can find a cow print tablecloth like this one at Mardel, Target, or Amazon!
These delicious – and cute – cookies were made by a very talented friend of mine. ๐ฅ
A well-decorated cookie can make such a big impact on a food table!
On the food table, I created and labeled a vegetable garden, pigs in a blanket, and a โchicken feedโ Chex mix. ๐
The ”chicken feed” was a hit, but I wasn’t surprised!
Wherever the food is, is always the place to be! A handmade sign on the table encouraged all of our guests to ‘pig out’ ๐ท
Everything on the table was in galvanized containers so as to give it that more rustic feel.
This little toddler loved all the details, and so did her guests!
